India vs Pakistan: Rishabh Pant trains with MS Dhoni ahead of blockbuster World Cup clash

first_imgYoung wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant arrived in Manchester on Friday ahead of the blockbuster India vs Pakistan ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash in the city on Sunday.Pant flew to the United Kingdom to join the India squad as cover for Shikhar Dhawan who had suffered a thumb injury during India’s World Cup clash against Australia last Sunday. Dhawan, it has been revealed, suffered a minor fracture but the opening batsman continues to be part of the squad. The team management are not ruling Dhawan out of the tour tournament yet, considering the success he has had for the team in ICC tournaments.However, Pant has joined the team and train with them in order to keep himself ready if an opportunity comes his way. Chacha Chicago is a huge fan of MS Dhoni and the superstar India cricketer has been gifting match tickets for India-Pakistan clashes to his fan since the 2011 World Cup.advertisementPant was in fine form in Indian Premier League 2019.
