NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal said the “WWE messed up” in context to his alleged match against Big Show in the WrestleMania 33.The two 7-footers were calling each other out for almost a year in a build-up to what could have been the biggest match in the WrestleMania history but things didn’t materialise and the match never happened.Big Show and O’Neal were also involved in mud slinging months ahead of WrestleMania in what looked like a customary promotion of the match. On “The Big Podcast with Shaq”, the NBA star blamed the WWE chairman Vince McMahon and said, “They kept playing. First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be 3-on-3. Then, they cancelled it so when they cancelled it, I made other arrangements.”Shaq further mentioned that WWE did approach him again but the time was gone. “I just said, ‘I’m not going to do it.’ They messed it up.”Shaq’s co-host John Kincade asked the NBA legend if he was afraid that the WWE wouldn’t have scripted his win, Shaq retaliated and said that he was willing to lose “for the kids.”The WrestleMania 33 was reported to be Big Show’s final WrestleMania with the superstar’s contract with WWE running out soon. Big Show was recently in the news for his destructive match against Braun Strowman where the ring collapsed.
