first_imgEach week a leading bad or musician takes our Starting XI Q&A. And straight in as our Christmas No.1, it’s rapper Franko Fraize…Who would be the most rock ‘n’ roll signing your club could make?Ha ha, you’re asking the wrong person seeing as I’m a QPR fan. We have made a few ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ signings, the ones that came for a payday and didn’t give a monkeys about the football. That aside, I’d say John Ruddy after his tiff got filmed in Norwich. He seems pretty rock star!If your club was a song or a lyric, what would it be?‘I’m so dizzy my head is spinning, like a whirlpool it never ends’ – Tommy RoeWhich football stadium would you most like to play a gig at (that’s not your club’s home ground)?Carrow Road. Norwich is the closest Premier League stadium to me. I also used to work in Norwich and have a real good following there. Should be able to pull a good crowd.Which footballer has the most potential to be a rock star?Jamie Vardy. ‘Chat s**t get banged’ says it all!Brit award or Premier League trophy?Brit AwardWhen you were a kid, which football and music posters did you have on your wall?No QPR posters ‘cos they struggled in the lower leagues back then. Probably say Michael Owen in an England shirt ‘cos he was the man back then. As for music it would probably have been The Libertines, Mike Skinner and J Lo – ‘cos she was an absolute stunner!Elvis was the king of rock and roll, Michael Jackson the king of pop… Who’s the king of football?Terry Venables. To me he has that air of greatness about him. A great career in football and a charming man. I met him once which was a right big deal for meIf you were in charge of your club’s dressing room stereo, what tunes would you put on before a big game and why?Reverend and the Makers’ ‘Silence Is Talking’. Also Tempa T ‘Next Hype’ to get everyone fired right up!Which signing got you most excited and which player’s departure broke your heart? When Lee Cook left us it was a big deal to me, especially as he gave us his signing on fee ‘cos we was struggling financially. That proved his worth in a massive way and solidified him as a Rangers legend in my eyes. As for arrivals, I think when Joey Barton came it was a big deal for us. This was the time when a lot of big names were being mentioned and I think Joey coming meant more. Obviously in hindsight this proved to be a very bad period for QPR.Which footballer would you refuse complimentary tickets to one of your gigs?Jose Mourinho. The fella is a doughnut. Too big for his boots and has a proper bad energy about him. Not welcome round my way sunshine! What’s the best/worst football song ever recorded? The best is, without a doubt, ‘Three Lions’ by Baddiel and Skinner. As for the worst, there have been some proper stinkers but that Vengaboys one from a couple of years ago was pretty pony! Mainly ‘cos it was The Vengaboys!!!Thetford Rapper Makes Major Label Debut ‘Oi Oi!” – Listen here www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZWlRnOvBKs Franko Fraize 1last_img
