Mount Vernon Awarded $700K For Water Improvements

first_imgThe City of Mount Vernon was awarded $700,000 for drinking water system improvements by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs Wastewater Drinking Water Program.This project replaces 4,500 linear feet of existing 133-year old cast iron water mains between Main Street and Wolflin Street and on Wolflin Street between W. 8th Street and W. 4th Street. The goals of the Wastewater Drinking Water Program are  to protect the health and environment, reduce utility rates for low-to-moderate-income communities and improve rural infrastructure to enable long-term economic growth.FacebookTwitterCopy LinkEmailSharelast_img read more
