Let me tell you one story – the story of small but big Ston as a top destination

first_imgLet’s tell stories, our authentic stories. That is the very essence of tourism. The main star of this largest vineyard in the Croatian south is plavac mali, a variety that has been planted in almost 90 percent of Pelješac vineyards. Although the wine cellars are scattered along the entire rural part of Pelješac, you will experience one of the most beautiful Pelješac oenological stories in the wider area of Ston. In the settlement of Putniković, surrounded by vineyards that rise above the most beautiful Adriatic beaches, visit the first Croatian Museum of Viticulture and Enology and the House of Wine Tradition. Thus, every guest of the Pelješac peninsula can find out and experience how wine on Pelješac has become a way of life. #We live it. You will love it! Visit Ston  Solana Ston enjoys status the oldest active saltworks u Europi, moguće i u svijetu, te najveće sačuvane u povijesti Sredozemlja. Tzv. bijelo zlato na tom su području počeli eksploatirati i brati još i stari Rimljani, a na podjednak se, prirodan i tradicionalan način – uz pomoć mora, sunca i vjetra, morska sol i cvijet soli tamo proizvode i danas. Nevjerojatno, zar ne?  Did you know that oysters have long been known as an aphrodisiac? The longest walls and the oldest saltworks in Europe, the best oysters in the world, the empire of Plavac mali, a traditional way of life and indescribable peace. It is all Ston, a destination of great values and authentic stories. center_img Just as oysters celebrated Ston on the gourmet map of the world, so quality Pelješac wines have positioned the entire Pelješac peninsula at the very top of the oenological scene of the world.  „Zaštitnik znak” Stona su monumentalne zidine koje su, s dužinom od 5,5 km i visinom između pet i deset metara, uvjerljivo najduže zidine u Europi i others by length in the world (right after the famous Great Wall of China!). A destination that Dubrovnik must sell and every Dubrovnik guest must experience Ston and this destination in a broader sense. Just to remind everyone of their wealth, the Ston Tourist Board presented new videos with which it continues its #We live it campaign. You will love it! Visit Ston The gastronomic delicacy that celebrated Ston and put it on the gourmet map of the world is oyster.

Welsh fans urged to stay sensible

first_imgThe respective supporters’ trusts of Cardiff and Swansea have issued an early call for fans of the rival clubs to behave themselves at next month’s south Wales derby. Press Association The derby has previously seen trouble between the rival sets of supporters and, at one point, the Football Association of Wales banned away fans from attending. Rival fans clashed with police after a League Cup encounter in 2008, while later in the same season referee Mike Dean was struck by a coin at Ninian Park. However, the two supporters’ trusts hope this season’s meetings will be remembered for the action on the field. Phil Sumbler, chairman of Swansea City Supporters’ Trust, said: “It will be a passionate and noisy encounter and a chance for fans on both sides to showcase what is best about south Wales’ two Premier League clubs. “It is important to ensure all post-match discussions are about the action on the football pitch and I hope all in the stadium enjoy what will be a fantastic occasion.” Tim Hartley, chairman of the Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust, added: “These are exciting days for Welsh football. “We have been looking forward to this fixture for years and the match will be a showcase for the two cities and also for Wales. “Cardiff v Swansea has always been a passionate encounter with plenty of banter between supporters. In the past this has sometimes gone too far so it is important that fans do not overstep the mark and show each other respect. “We want the derby to be remembered for all the right reasons – plenty of thrills and high quality football between two great rivals played in the right spirit. “So we are saying to fans, support your team, but please ensure at all times you do it in the right way.” center_img The November 3 meeting at Cardiff City Stadium will be the first time the club’s have clashed in the top flight. Even though the fixture has always attracted attention, this time the glare of a global Premier League television audience of millions around the world will put the Swans and Bluebirds in the spotlight like never before. last_img read more
