first_img ‘Legend of the White Dragon’ Reunites Original Power RangersThe Original ‘Power Rangers’ Movie Should Have Stayed Small If you’ve been following Power Rangers in all their various incarnations, you might be aware that there’s a new comic series going on: Power Rangers: Shattered Grid. It’s spinoff from BOOM! Studios that features many of your favorite Power Rangers from various parts of the Power Rangers lore, even with characters from other spinoffs. It’s a true series for die-hard fans, that’s for sure.Fans are absolutely in love with it, too, as evidenced by this anime-inspired one fan put together using images from the comic and animating them together in an anime-like style that mimics many of the cooler openings from some of your favorite show. With the tagline “No Ranger is Safe,” the series was also followed with a new story: “Beyond the Grid.” The first series originally ran from March 2018 through August 2018, which also happened to be the month of the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers’ original TV debut in 1993.The main story finds the Time Force Rangers heading out to investigate a rift in space, and ends up pulling in characters Katie, Trip, and Lucas. After dealing with the rift, their Megazord explodes and the team has collided with the teams of RPM and Dino Charge. It gets pretty complicated from there on out, but longtime fans will find plenty to enjoy, especially with the anime-styled opening.There has been a rash of anime-styled opening videos like this one from fans over the past few months, and they seem to keep getting better and better. It proves fans know exactly what they want to see out of their favorite franchises, and that many of them are ultra-talented. We can’t wait to see what fans come up with next, and what comes of the Power Rangers franchise.
